I suppose there are a few times when you can actually notice a trend starting. About two years ago i started writting a blog service using .Net. I used it as a learning experience, not quite aware of how huge it, bloging and not my service, would become.

Another trend, I’m starting to notice is the use of RPC calls in web sites. The need to reload the entire page will be a thing of the past. With the introduction of Google Suggest, the first step by a major player has been taken. I’m sure most will follow. Hopefully W3 concludes a standard sooner rather than later.

I’ve been personaly using the technology for about 3 years now. With tons of behaviours at RMA and pretty much the entire system at MCA making use of it.
