Running out of PVR disk space?

I’ve owned my DSTV PVR for about 3 or 4 months now and am a huge fan. 80 hours of capacity seemed like alot when I first got the decoder, but now with only 25% free, I starting to question which movies, shows etc. I need to delete. I’ve heard of an external drive in the works that will allow you to archive your recordings. I’m sure I’ll be a early adopter when it is released. But how is this as an idea, throw away the hard disk and store the recordings at the service provider. Cablevision in the states has plans to make the popular digital video recorder and other hard drive based models a thing of the past. The company will soon introduce a box that will store recorded programming at the cable facility, rather than in the home.Link to BetaNews Article
